Programs

The Center for Dispute Resolution at San Luis Obispo College of Law works closely with the community to build programs that meet the unique needs of San Luis Obispo County residents.

SLO County Small Claims Court

Under contract with San Luis Obispo County Superior Court, trained volunteers provide free mediation services for parties appearing in small claims court on the day of trial.  The Center for Dispute Resolution at San Luis Obispo College of Law also offers pre-trial conflict coaching and mediation services for small claims court litigants to help resolve disputes before trial and individuals wishing to avoid filing a small claims court claim.

We invite you to schedule a consultation today or contact us for assistance with your situation.

Education & Training

The Center for Dispute Resolution at San Luis Obispo College of Law offers communication and mediation training and workshops for community members, attorneys, and mediators.  In collaboration with San Luis Obispo College of Law faculty, CDRSLO also trains, supervises, and provides hands-on learning for volunteers, law students and interns.

Contact us if you would like more information about mediation training, becoming a volunteer, or attending law school.

New Program Partnerships

The Center for Dispute Resolution at San Luis Obispo College of Law values collaborating with community partners to develop better ways to prevent and address conflict in SLO County.  As CDRSLO continues to grow and thrive, we look forward to partnering with more local governments, community organizations, and non-profits to add new programs to meet additional community needs.  We invite you to reach out if your organization would like to explore opportunities to work together to best serve our community.
